AKA Elder Dragon Highlander (EDH)

[/edgtf_custom_font]

Commander (formerly known as Elder Dragon Highlander aka EDH) is a fun and usually casual format “which emphasizes social interactions, interesting games, and creative deckbuilding.” It can be played with local house rules, but a couple of different governing bodies have created standardized Banned Lists that they recommend for larger events where players may not be familiar with one another, which can be found below. Players are encouraged to tweak these lists and rules to the preference of their local gaming community. While 1 vs. 1 duels are somewhat common (see the ‘French Duel/1v1 Commander Banned List’ information below), multiplayer free-for-all games are encouraged and preferred.

The full rules and current “official” multiplayer Commander Banned & Restricted List can be found here.
