GenCon Indy is probably the biggest nerd/freak/whateveryouwannacallit event of the year. It concentrates everything that is related with gaming in 4 days. Magic: The Gathering is of course represented during those days and, here at Eternal Central, we’ll be covering it the best way we know.
GenCon is only a week away, and the events that we are interested on and will be doing live streaming from are basically the Vintage and Legacy Championships. You can read about these two events right after the break.

Format
- Vintage Format
- No proxies of any kind are allowed
- Open to all players
Tournament Length
- Swiss rounds, 60 minutes per round
- Number of rounds based on attendance according to the following chart:

| 33 – 64 | 6 |
| 65 – 128 | 7 |
| 129 – 226 | 8 |
| 227 – 409 | 9 |
| 410 or higher | 10 |
Advancement
- All players may participate in all Swiss rounds.
- The Top 8 players after the final Swiss round will advance to the Top 8 single-elimination finals.
Top 8
- Top 8 matches will be best 2 of 3.
- Top 8 matches will have no time limit.
- Where necessary, the standings after the Swiss rounds will still be used to determine final order in the standings.

- All Universal Tournament Rules and Magic: the Gathering Floor Rules are in effect for this event unless specifically overruled by information in this document
- Players must bring pen, paper, card sleeves and appropriate counters.
