We use technology such as cookies and account creation to provide and improve a customized shopping experience for the customer. That’s it. Cookies allow for things like logging you in and out of our services, remembering your preferences and settings, and keeping your stuff so others can’t see it. Creating an account with name, addresses, and other preferences helps save items in your shopping cart, can notify you when an out of stock product is available again, streamline the delivery of your goods, and allows you to reorder things easily in the future. We don’t sell or lease your information anywhere or to anyone. Likewise, if you choose to sign up for a newsletter or any new product alerts, your email address is not sold or leased to anyone. We will fight any overbearing and burdensome government requests for information. We strongly believe in the privacy of our customers, and the privacy of people in general.
If we are ever involved in a merger or acquisition, your account information may be transferred as part of that deal, so that the new company may deliver the same sweet goods and services you’ve come to expect from us. We will notify you (for example, via a message to the email address associated with your account) of any such deal and outline your choices in that unlikely event.
Security
The security of your personal information is of the utmost importance to us. When you enter in any financial information (such as credit card information), all transmission of these are done by secure socket layer (SSL) and/or transport layer security (TSL), providing robust security and protection during that transaction.
Security starts with you, the end user, so always beware of phishing or other scams that unscrupulous fraudsters can try. We will never ask you for your login information via phone or email, so never share your password with anyone. We always recommend creating strong passwords (at least 8 characters, with a mix of letters/numbers/special symbols being preferred; and preferably something not in a dictionary).
